Collection: Prefolds and Lay-ins
Prefolds are flat nappies which have been prefolded into a rectangle with more absorbency in the middle. They can be pad folded or secured with a snappi.
Duo Lay-In inserts are just placed inside a cover and secured to baby.
Pros | Cons |
Absorbency is faster drying, or easily dried in the dryer | Can be a little more fiddly to put on baby if your wanting to use the snappi |
Can sometimes change the inner and reuse the shell | Not 'OSFM' (One size fits most) so need to buy the bigger sizes once outgrown |
Cheaper way to cloth nappy | Often not as trim fit as an AIO or Snap-In nappy |
Once outgrown, Prefolds and Inserts can be used to boost other nappies |
Prefolds dont have a stay dry layer next to baby (Duo Inserts do)
